THE 2007 MOVIE EXTRA FILMINK AWARDS CEREMONY!!!

The 2007 FilmInk Awards were held on Wednesday, May 9th 2007 at the beautiful State Theatre in Sydney, NSW Australia.

Host Josh Lawson informed the audience that there might be "a bit of f$%in swearing", and the night followed as predicted, with irreverence and bad language the order of the evening. “I feel like they’ve put It’s Academic in the middle of an episode of Deadwood,” Chris Haywood said before presenting iconic producer Margaret Fink with the Peter Finch Lifetime Achievement Award.

The night was full of highlights: funny acceptance speeches; bizarre moments (two Kazakhstanis accepting Borat’s VH1 Best Moustache Award, a paparazzi accepting for Heath Ledger; Peter Helliar accepting Penelope Cruz’s Best Sort Award and claiming that they were opening a Nando’s together), eye candy (the underwear clad Aussie Bum male model went down a treat), and off-colour jokes. The big winner of the evening? The audience, we reckon…
