Aussie actor and heart-throb Heath Ledger still calls Australia his home, however the 'Knight's Tale' star may soon be packing up and heading off to Italy.

'I have kind of been living out of bags for the past 13 years. I will just stick to that,'Ledger explains, 'Home is, like, Earth. I don't care where I land. I am actually thinking of going to live in Italy. The food and the wine are great there. That's it really.'

The actor, 26 who is expecting his first child with former 'Dawson's Creek' actress Michelle Williams, says the couple, who have bases in Bronte and Los Angeles, are considering a relocation, fuelled by a desire to live and work in Europe.

The last 18 months have seen a dramatic change in Ledger's personal life and career. His romance with fellow Aussie actress Naomi Watts ended just months before he met his American girlfriend, Williams. That romance immediately blossomed at the same time as Ledger admits he 'deliberately tore my career apart' with risky roles, including a gay cowboy in Brokeback Mountain and a surfer dude in Lords Of Dogtown.

Ledger was on the fast track to stardom after his debut in '10 Things I Hate About You' (1999), followed by starring in 'The Patriot' (2000) alongside Mel Gibson and taking the lead role in 'A Knight's Tale' (2001).

However The Four Feathers (2002), The Order (2003) and Ned Kelly (2003) all miserably flopped at the box office.

That is when Ledger abruptly changed course. 'I sort of took my career and destroyed it.' he admits. 'I had to destroy my career because I just didn't like it. I didn't like the movies I was making. People weren't giving me a chance to do anything other than be the blond-haired bimbo, and it was starting to bore me.'

But things are now looking up. Ledger's new film 'The Brothers Grimm' which sees Matt Damon playing opposite him, premiered in LA on August 8th with it's general release on August 26th.

With a new film and baby on the way, are things finally on the up for this Aussie hunk? I hope so; the dude is a very talented actor, and I think his best is yet to come.
