Colin Farrell was overcome with emotion speaking to TotalFilm Magazine recently about the film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. Farrell speaks about how filling in for Heath was so emotional, it upset his stomach, so he spoke to people who were close to Heath. "They thought he'd be cool with it.", so Farrell accepted.

"I went to Vancouver for nine days and there was an amazing sense of companionship and love and respect for Heath as an actor and a man."

Model turned actress, Lily Cole had never been in a film before, and quickly learned to rely on Heath as a mentor and friend. Her first days shooting with Farrell were so difficult she cried on the set. In Britain's Harper's Bazaar magazine, she said, "Colin was good friends with Heath so it started to feel like the right things to do. It honoured the work and effort Heath had put in for the last few months. But I remember just crying on the first day of doing it, because it was such a bizarre thing."

She continues: "It was strange for Colin too. You've lost a friend recently and you're having to look at clips of your friend's performance and mimic him. It was an incredibly brave and lovely thing for him to do, and I think he found it an incredibly hard week."

Lily credits the Heath with helping her learn to act and with boosting her confidence. "I was definitely intimidated at first. But I'd been very honest with Heath about how nervous I was. He was really sweet and said, 'I'm always nervous too.' I don't know if that was true, because he was obviously such a master of his craft. After that he was always checking in, telling me if he thought I'd done a scene well."

Farrell reveals he has fond memories of Ledger: "I knew him a little bit. I hadn't seen him in a few years then saw him a few months before he passed. He was one of the good ones - a gorgeous dude, really kind and humble and smart and creative."

Depp also found it difficult to fill in for his friend, but was honored to share the screen with Heath, telling Moviefone in December, "I feel privileged to have been asked aboard to stand in on behalf of dear Heath.

"He was the only player out there breathing heavy down the back of every established actor's neck with a thundering and ungovernable talent that came up on you quick, hissing rather mischievously with that cheeky grin, 'Hey... get on out of my way boys, I'm coming through!' And does he ever!"
