The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is not yet out of theatres in some countries, and has been bolstered at U.S. theatres by its Oscar nominations. Now for those of us who can hardly wait to have Gilliam's fantastical labor of love to friend and star Heath Ledger on our own shelves, DVD release dates have been set for North America and the UK.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is available on DVD and BluRay

• in North America on April 27, 2010.
• in the UK on March 29, 2010.

Sony is not ready to publicly announce the US/Canadian release date until the Parnssus theatre run is over, so vendors are being told not to announce the date yet. However, as of right now, vendors are expecting DVD and BluRays of The Imagainarum of Doctor Parnassus to be on their shelves for sale on April 27, 2010.
