It was a test photo, if Heath should use blue contacts or not in Parnassus.
It is from the Parnassus Support-Site. There can you read about it.
It is very new, given from Nicola Pecorini to the admin of the Support-Site.

It's from the support site. Someone emailed it to me, too, but I don't generally post her stuff here.

In this case, it's so rare and wonderful to see anything we've not seen before, though . . . you know?

IMHO, as beautiful as Heath is, I still prefer his natural brown eyes.

That's the reason, why I've posted it here!

He looks beautiful here, but I prefer his brown eyes too.

Thanks for explaining where its from, did he actually have blue eyes in the film then? I can't say I remember seeiing them like that if so ...

It is such a treasure to see a new photo, thank you again.

I've seen the film several times, but honestly, it is difficult to see the eye colour. His eyes lookes dark, but not really brown or blue.
The scene where he says "Voilą" the eyes seems to be blue. When you look at the trailer, you can see it clear.
But in the movie on screen, it all looked a bit darker. confused-smiley-013.gif

No one's been able to figure it out yet. Or whether Terry and Heath decided to go that way. I think on film, they must have gone with a subtler tone where it's not as obvious, as least from what I could see.

I think maybe, the entire point is not to be able to tell?

I've thought about sending a message and asking, but I'm just so swamped lately and I can't even tell you how exhausted...I just can't be bothered. LOL happy0188.gif

Hmmm, one blue eye, one brown eye... cockney accent, Australian accent... it's all part of Tony's charm.

Lovely photo, thanks for sharing smile.gif

Don't forget the posh accent minnetonka wink.gif (in the "Do you dream?"-scene in the mall).

I can't say either whether Heath's eyes are blue or brown in the film. I simply couldn't tell. From time to time while watching it the second time I thought of it, but I still wasn't able to tell for sure.

It wouldn't surprise me, though, considering the chameleon aspect of Tony, with his different accents and so forth, if the answer is that the colour of Heath's eyes in Parnassus are... both brown and blue! That he wears blue contacts in some scenes, but that he doesn't in some others. I have no proof of this whatsoever - it's just a possibility that suddenly struck me a while ago and that I haven't been able to shake... biggrin.gif I guess we'll find out sooner or later...

This photo is such a treasure!!! I love him...
Terry confirmed that Heath wore the blue contacts in the film. They were gonna change it after he came from the mirror, and he was gonna have one blue & one brown eye.
With that this, they could show the two-face of the character of Tony in a metaphorical way.
But they didn't have the chance to do it, for all the known reasons... sad.gif

Thank you, Ultimate.
I wonder if it was Heath who came up with the idea. I would not be surprised if he had. He was so bursting with ideas . . .

Yep, that too.smile.gif

Really can't wait for the DVD to come out... I hope Terry will treat us to a commentary.

smile.gif Hey guys,
I used Microsoft Paint to flip half of the image to create 2 different images...

I think it looks so odd! Heath looks completely different in each photo. Obviously it's mostly down to the fact that the photo isn't taken at a perfect angle, it's not mirrored perfectly, and nobody has a perfectly symmetrical face, but still, I think it's quite strange to look at.

Obviously I think Heath looks gorgeous with both eye colours, but I prefer the brown too laugh.gif

LOVE IT!!! LOL tongue.gif

It also reminds me of something we used to do as art majors. Nobody's face is symmetrical. Most people's look like it, but no-one is. Heath's actually, this is something I noticed recently with this photo, is thinner on one side than the other. And the angle of his jawline is a little less pronounced on the thinner side.

One of the exercises for art majors used to be taking a magazine photo, usually a model in a makeup advertisement, and cutting it straight down the middle. One student would use one side of the photo and re-draw the other side on it, making a complete face.
Another student would use the 2nd side of the photo and do the same thing.
When finished, each person would have a completely symmetrical face based on the side they copied from. But the two people would look completely different. LOL

Basically, that's exactly what you did with Paint. It's still Heath, you can tell, but . . . not quite the same Heath. LOL

IMO: Yeah, definitely the brown eyes all the way.

And I'm glad the blue in the film wasn't SOOOO blue as these photos. More subtle . . . or I think people would have found it distracting.
Mel
Thanks! This pic was so nice to see. I have to say I love those brown eyes the best. The light brown with the lighter shades in them. Just perfect. At this point ,I would enjoy any pic of him.

hehe you're totally right. The 2 images look so similar, yet so different, imagine if there were 2 Heaths with only slight differences! tongue.gif Lol

It's true that his face is not symmetrical, and you described it quite well.
His eyes are also not symmetrical, with his left eye (the blue one in the photos) the skin above it is slightly lower, so it looks kind of like he's upset on the photo I posted with 2 blue eyes, yet his expression is completley different on the one with 2 brown eyes! laugh.gif

4Ever In Our Hearts
Thanks for the pic..I agree with all of you , I prefer heath with his natural brown eyes, but I think that the film's choice was great too, because they didn't use particularly intense blue contact lenses like in these pics, so you couldn't almost notice a particular difference..
Whetstone
What a great picture! The morphing that Alex did to create two different Ledger's was BANANAS. Sooooooooo different!
