The US Trailer for Dr. Parnassus, released to the public this week,
was shown at Dragon*Con and other SciFi Conventions earlier this year.

In the United States, we will have to wait until Christmas day, but the long awaited Heath Ledger film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, has started it's seasonal theatre run with an official premiere in London on Wednesday (07 October), also coinciding with the US Trailer hitting the internet. The trailer, which has been top secret and only shown at comic conventions so far (including Comic*Con & Dragon*Con), shows scenes featuring Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell, in their versions of Heath's character Tony, but still provides enough footage of Ledger in his role to whet any fan's appetite.

While the film is only now opening to the public, it has shown in festivals across the world, including Toronto last month and Cannes in May. Initial reaction has been fairly positive. The London Daily Telegraph covered the premiere, and reviewer Marc Lee noted the ending credits: "A film from Heath Ledger and friends." Lee's response, "And they have done him proud. it's a fitting memorial."
