Many of us in the United States have been worried that we would not be able to see Heath's final film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, because of a difficulty with finding U.S. distributors.

I received word today from Graham Smith, publicist for Parnassus, that they are not anticipating any problems with the U.S. distribution, in fact, have not even searched for a distributor yet.

Mr. Smith says, "In fact, there is no problem with US distribution, despite the blog posted on the Hollywood Reporter website. Unfortunately, this has been reproduced around the world. . . . In today’s Independent newspaper in the UK, in a letter to the editor, we have attempted to set the record straight, including, the following factual statement:'
QUOTE
The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is still in post production and will not be completed until early/mid April. As soon as there is a finished film, it will be screened, for the first time, to US distributors. There has been no search for a US distributor to date, as the producers felt that it was better to wait for Terry Gilliam's vision to be fully realized on screen, so that the distributors can see exactly what they are acquiring. That said, the film was pre-sold in 90+% of the rest of the world and we are envisaging a release in the fourth quarter of this year.

So let's not panic just yet. They are anticipating a US release in the fall/winter of this year.
