There are so many things I love with Heath's performance, but I have to say that one instant favourite is his strutting walk when he walks from the hospital, dressed in that nurses gown! I smile from ear to ear and chuckle every time I see that...

And yeah: he is hot! And the Joker's made all of us a bit demented...

nina you always make me laugh XD yes he made us ALL a bit demented,i actually love how he walks after the truck flips,and he comes out,first he falls and then the way he walks towards batman,shooting all over the place,and the goes HIT ME! *THUD* uuuumh i don't know why but i just go c-razyyy watching that scene,i know im nuts hahaha,but i do love that bit

Oooh, me too! So much goes through my mind during that scene. Apart from feeling complete awe and joy at his portrayal... There's his agility, and his perfect ability to do a pratfall, his comic timing, slapstick humor . . .
but then there's the seriousness of the character's own anger and self-destructive tendencies. He's sociopathic, but there's also a part of him that is miserable being that way. He not only wants to "test" Batman's metal, but also part of him doesn't really care if Batman kills him. Indeed, he's daring him to. And one feels that if Batman did, even in death, the Joker would feel a kind of victory . . .

There's so much in that scene that I really love.... He was so amazing in that role. I'm so glad that his peers are rewarding his work in this.

Are you reading Oscar committee??? THIS is exactly why Heath owned this role, and this movie. He brought us inside the mind of the Joker, we really understood this character and a part of the viewer cheered on this character's pathology. He was so freakin' brilliant in the way he created this character so that we felt an affection for him even though he was the embodiment of psychopathic lunacy.

Did I mention Heath was brilliant???
