I'm talking to you constantly
In my head
In my heart
But on this day
when there ought to be so much to say
There are no words
No words for the loss
or the anger
or the empty hole in the atmosphere you left behind
Instead of talking
I'll spend this day listening
and looking
Listening for your whisper
behind the strings of Day is Done
Look for the glitter of amber
when the sun has come
But when my words come back to me
I will speak of dragonflies
and bare feet
of restless hands
and sudden smiles
Of an open mind
of an open heart
of integrity
and stubbornness
Of quriosity
of playfulness
of creativity
and shyness
But inspite of all the words
I know and can use
I can capture you
no more than I could keep you
here
with us
So dance among the stars for us
and sing to the comet's song
The world without you
is as dark as the winter sky
But it is in winterskies
you can best see the stars
Maybe one day
I will catch a glimpse of you
surfing
on the new moon

I am awed...you read my heart and spoke the words I could not form. Thank you Nina. This is as beautiful as any sonnet I have read. It is perfect.
