I once had heard someone say that when you are going through a hard spot, it helps to write your feelings down, so I thought I would try my hand at writing a poem to Heath thinking maybe it would make me feel better........

When I heard that you had left this world
I went numb and my heart felt cold
I couldn't bear to think of you being there all alone.

I thought of your little girl and the questions she would ask
How do you explain to a child that Daddy's not coming back?

I couldn't understand why God took you so soon
I thought of all you had accomplished in your short life,
but also about all that you had yet to.....

When I heard that you had left this world, I couldn't and didn't want to understand
But now I have come to realize, maybe it was all part of God's plan.

And although it doesn't make it easier, I try to remember you with a smile
After all this isn't goodbye, it's just so long for awhile.

Thanks, Linda. It did help quite a bit. So many of the things I was feeling right after he passed have been resurfacing in the last few weeks. It helped just to have an outlet to get them out in the open.

Angel this was so sweet and wonderful. And I know if Heath could read it he would be touched (maybe he can)
