The film HEATH LEDGER was making when he passed away in January (08) has landed a big business boost at the Cannes Film Festival in France.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus has become the stand-out success story of the 2008 festival, and, as director Terry Gilliam returns to London to start post-production on the modern-day fantasy adventure, the film has wrapped up a series of major distribution deals.

The Cannes success is a welcome boost for the cast and crew, who had to deal with the death of their star just a month after filming got underway.

Heath would be tickled that a film he so enjoyed and a director friend was being applauded.
