God saw him getting tired

And a cure was not to be,

So He put His arms around him,

And whispered, "Come to me."

With tearful eyes we watched you,

And saw you pass away,

And though we loved you dearly,

We could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,

Hard working hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to prove

He only takes the best!

.....missing you so much heath...may you rest in paradise.....

That is so very beautiful, Kaye!

I really hope and wish that's how and why it happened... tear.gif

Nina, that's exactly what I felt. I just could not express it, because at the time I read it, all I felt was emotion, and wasn't able to put it into words. But yes, it's sad, touching, and comforting all at the same time. I wish that was why, too. For God to give him comfort, peace, and rest.

I had seen this poem for the first time when My Aunt passed away after a long battle with Lupus. It was on the mass card I got from her funeral. Since then, whenever I saw it again, her face instantly popped into my head.

Now when I see this poem, I will see both her and Heath. Two people that are very precious to me.

Thanks. tear.gif

tear.gif when i read this poem...Heath was the first person that came into mind....i had to post it....for, yeah, it did lift a bit of weight off of my chest, that maybe...just maybe...this was why Heath had to go....
i miss him so much...i find myself going back to everything Heath was....
i still talk to him in silence...hoping my words are being heard....
i want to remove the image of Heath in my head that has him crying for passing away and have it replaced with Heath smiling for he has found his "home" ....

forgive me if i sometimes keep quiet on here...missing Heath sometimes puts me in a place of silence.....but yeah...you guys rock hug_002.gif

miss you Heath....

The poem does really strike hard, talking about how tired he was and needed rest (which I really do think is the crux of the entire tragedy). How hard working his hands were. . . . It does really remind me of him.
