Ledger to Lure Crowds to Casanova Premiere

Heath Ledger and Sienna Miller are expected to lead the rush to the red carpet for the UK premiere of Casanova.

Heath plays the legendary 18th-century romantic who seduces dozens of women across Europe until he meets his match in Francesca Bruni, played by 24-year-old Miller.

The premiere, in London's Leicester Square, comes after female fans voted Robbie Williams the nation's modern day Casanova.

The real-life Giacomo Casanova was born in Venice in 1725.

His jobs included violinist, clergyman, secretary and soldier, and he was a prolific writer of plays, novels and poetry.

Casanova's 12-volume autobiography detailed his adventures and ensured his place in history as the world's greatest lover.
