GUIDELINES FOR POSTING PHOTOS, AVITARS & SIGGYS

When posting photos, it's important to remember a few things. Of course, I don't have to ask you to refrain from objectionable photos, avis, or siggys, so I'll just mention two things:

1. Keep siggys small and reasonable. I prefer no more than 150px tall and 300 px wide. At current, I'll leave this on an honor basis.
   
2. Posting ANY kind of photo, siggy, or avitar [IMPORTANT]
   If you find a photo from another site that you would like to post here (in a post, avitar or signature), please DO NOT use the link (URL) where the photo is on the other site. This uses the other site's bandwidth and is referred to as bandwidth theft. It is illegal and HH can be held accountable.
   If you find a photo from another site that you want to use, take the following steps:
   
   - Copy the photo to your own computer.
   
   - Upload the photo from your computer to a photo hosting site such as www.photobucket.com or www.imageshack.us . (There are others as well. You can join for free.)
   
   - Once you have uploaded your photo to the hosting site, copy the link (URL) that is provided and paste it here. (in your post, your siggy line or avitar line.)

Using a photo hosting site ensures that you do not use another website's memory and bandwidth. It is proper "netiquette".

You may have small text in your signature. But please keep grapics and photos to ONE LINE.

Please check your signatures and make any corrections that need to be made in order to conform to the above rules. I would rather not have to edit your siggys one by one. If you do see your signature removed, it's most likely because the graphic is too large.
