I initially wrote this on Saying Goodbye to Heath. I decided to transfer it to this forum because it is my tribute to Heath Ledger.
Like many of us here, after the 22nd, I could not and still cannot go to sleep early or easily. I cannot stop thinking of our beautiful Heath. This is how I felt at 4:00am on January 27th. I had to find some way to express my feelings other than my continued weeping. This is what I wrote:
Fade To Black

What wretched thing can we call it?
That silent Dark Death that steals the light?
But you, so bright is your light, you cast a thousand shadows that flow
through our minds, through our inner souls.
You were me, You were You, You were all of us
captured in the twists and turmoils and joy and love of our lives.
You lived and we lived in You for that one bright moment--on film,
on screen, in our hearts---we were one.
Then the Dark---Fade To Black.
