MORE VIRAL MARKETING YIELDS NEW JOKER PIC!!!

Halloween: 31 October 2007

Throughout the month of October, the Dark Knight viral marketing site WhySoSerious.com has been empty, save one rotting pumpkin with a flittering candle inside. However, Halloween (of course, what other day would they pick??) has yielded much internet excitement in the form of a new message on that site!!!

Visitors keeping watch on WhySoSerious.com were treated to a new message, and another puzzle from the intrepid Joker.

By clicking on each letter, Bat fans found that the Joker has left 49 clues for 21 cities across the United States. Each clue gives instructions on where to go in each city to find the answer.

(Oooh, one for my friends in Minn! wink.gif )

Each location rendered a letter, which turned out to be a jumble puzzle.

Personally, I'm way to lazy to bother with puzzle after puzzle and don't see myself getting up off my mouse-potato butt to drive into Atlanta (not at $3 a gallon, dude), so I'm more than happy to wait until rabid fans painstakingly uncover all the answers and post them online. LOL By the end of Halloween evening, the fans have not disappointed, uncovering the puzzle answer that reads:
“The only sensible way to live in this world is without rules.”

But is this the end for the relentless folks running this marketing campaign? No way, you say! And you'd be right.

Peeking out from underneath the completed message is the corner of a photo. A wonderful new pic of Heath as the Joker.

And just when you think the game is over, clicking on the Joker photo will send you to yet another new website, RorysDeathKiss.com, which appears to be the beginning of yet another task.

You tired, yet? rolleyes.gif

On another note: Cinematical reports that along with the new Heath photo, there is a "taste of the dialog" on the page. I must've missed it, but it's 6:57 am, and I'll take their word for it. The piece of dialog says,

" . . . and tonight, you're gonna break your one rule."

Now, most fans know that Batman's "one rule" (at least in this new incarnation) is that he will not kill. I suspect (strongly) that Joker is trying to goad Batman into killing him, or trying to. What do you think? (Feel free to discuss this article in the Members Only section. smile.gif )
